Air Europa - Tel Aviv comes on board
Air Europa’s inaugural flight UX1301 landed at Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport on 30 March, honoured with a water cannon salute. The new service adds Israel to Air Europa’s scheduled flight network.
The route offers a 3 X weekly service between Tel Aviv and Madrid as well as convenient connecting flights to Latin America including Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Lima, Montevideo and more. The new service also caters for passengers arriving from South America on their way to Israel.
To promote the flight, a press conference and gate ceremony were held with speeches by Mr Fernando Carderera, Spanish Ambassador to Israel, Mr Alberto Cladera, Air Europa's International Sales Manager and Mr Gideon Thaler, President & CEO of TAL Aviation.
The following evening a reception was held for top travel market decision makers in the presence of the Spanish and Peruvian Ambassadors to Israel, delegates of the Spanish Embassy, the Spanish and Latin America Chambers of Commerce and other Spanish/Latin America business-related clientele.
TAL Aviation's VP Commercial, Nissim Sagis advised "we have worked very hard together with our Air Europa colleagues in Palma for this day and we are very excited for the prospects the new service will bring to the Israeli passenger travelling to Madrid and connecting on to Latin America destinations. At the same time, it opens up new opportunities for Israel as a destination with the economic growth and increase in Latin America passenger travel over the last couple of years". Passengers will enjoy a full service on board Air Europa, a modern, vibrant airline maintaining the highest quality of safety with state-of-the=art technology.
