Air Europa launches its new route to the Ecuadorian city of Guayaquil
Air Europa, the airline from the Globalia tourism group, is opening a new route to Guayaquil, the largest and most densely populated city in Ecuador, enabling it to continue growing and achieve its goal of reaching every corner of South America.
The first flight to Guayaquil aboard an Airbus 330-200 will take off from the Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas airport on 16 December and will make five trips a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.
Departure will be at 23:50 hours, landing at José Joaquín de Olmedo International Airport at 06:10 hours the following morning, local time, which will allow passengers to catch connecting flights easily if they need to. The new return flight will take off from the Ecuadorian city at 12:05 hours local time, landing in Madrid at 05:20 hours the following morning.
Flights to Guayaquil are already available for passengers to book via the airline's various sales channels, as Air Europa continues to gain ground among the major airlines in Europe and America by adding this new destination to its network through its hub in Madrid.
Two days after the new route is opened, Air Europa will also be flying via Paraguay to the Argentinian city of Cordoba, where it will travel four times a week after doubling the frequency between Madrid and the Paraguayan city of Asuncion.
With the addition of a route to Bogota in June and Guayaquil in December, Air Europa will be linking Madrid directly to Caracas, Lima, Santa Cruz de La Sierra, Salvador de Bahía, Sao Paulo, Montevideo, Asuncion and Buenos Aires. This adds to the airline's existing direct flights to Santo Domingo, Havana, New York, Miami, Puerto Rico, Cancun and Punta Cana, as well as Varadero from mid July to mid September.
