Air Serbia awarded for Zagreb route
Air Serbia, the national airline of the Republic of Serbia, announced today that it has received the "Route of the Week" award for the launch of its Zagreb route, awarded by anna.aero - airline network and news analysis.
"Route of the Week" is awarded by anna.aero - airline network and news analysis, the open website dedicated to outstanding airline network planning intelligence. The "Route of the Week" award recognises airlines for establishing new routes of special economic significance and particular importance to communities served.
Dane Kondić, Chief Executive Officer Air Serbia, said: "This award is highly symbolic for us, as it recognizes the importance of the Belgrade-Zagreb route from the perspective of an international industry expert and for this we are thankful. The award reinforces our strong conviction in the potential of the route in bringing closer the people and economies of the two countries and to significantly contribute to the development of bilateral relations, particularly in transport, trade and tourism."
On 12 December, 2014 Air Serbia marked the launch of its double daily service between Belgrade and Zagreb with an inaugural flight and a ceremony at Zagreb International Airport, thus re-establishing the air bridge between the two capitals after 23 years.
