More choice to Charlotte
American Airlines continues to grow its services from London Heathrow (LHR) by adding a second daily frequency to Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) beginning 14 September. The additional service will be operated by US Airways with an Airbus A330-200 aircraft featuring fully lie-flat seats in the Business Class cabin. .
Daily nonstop service
This service complements existing flight US731 departing LHR at 10:05am and arriving in CLT at 2:00pm while flight US730 departs CLT at 6:55pm arriving in LHR at 750am the following day.
American currently has almost 700 daily departures from Charlotte to over 140 destinations and operates up to 17 daily flights from London Heathrow to Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia and Raleigh Durham in addition to other U.K. services from Manchester, Glasgow, Edinburgh plus flights from Dublin and Shannon in Ireland.

While onboard the Airbus A330, customers can enjoy international Business Class featuring spacious seating, restaurant-style meals, award-winning wines, personal on-demand entertainment and an amenity kit filled with luxury organic beauty products from red flower.
Starting this Summer, US Airways customers will begin to enjoy new and increased inflight entertainment options, including Bose® headphones and double the in-seat entertainment options.

British Airways has introduced a dedicated ‘Express Connections’ lane to speed customers with time critical connections through immigration at London Heathrow’s Terminal 5. The scheme will see eligible customers provided with orange ‘Express Connections’ invitations as they disembark.
Finnair and US Airways have launched a codeshare agreement. The codeshare offers Finnair flights from Helsinki (HEL) to New York (JFK) and Toronto (YYZ) as well as extending existing agreement from 11 destinations including Brussels, Oslo, Stockholm and Zurich. Finnair customers can now access US Airways operated flights to Charlotte and Philadelphia as well as flights beyond New York and Phoenix.
Iberia are to offer Wi-Fi access aboard 8 of its long-haul A330-300s and 10 of its A340-600s. Customer will be able to chat, send and receive text messages or even make and receive voice calls.
