Bangkok Airways announces new services for winter

Bangkok / September 2014 – Bangkok Airways will launch new services and add frequency to its regional and domestic routes to enhance the airline’s domestic reach and to strengthen its ASEAN connections as Thailand will enter ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) in 2015.

 

The new series include Chiang Mai-Mandalay (3 weekly flight), Chiang Mai-Yangon (4 weekly flight), Chiang Mai-Udon Thani (2 daily flight) and Chiang Mai-Phuket (daily flight) which these new sectors will begin operations on 26 October 2014 onwards and are now open for booking.

 

26 October 2014 will see additional services for Bangkok-Krabi (from 3 to 4 daily flights), and on 1st November for Bangkok-Chiang Rai (from 2 to 3 daily flights).

 

These new routes and additional services* will allow better flight connections for passengers who wish to travel within Thailand as well as in the region.

 

At present, Bangkok Airways has codeshare agreements with other airlines including; EVA Air, Etihad Airways, Air Berlin, Air France, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, SilkAir, Finnair, Malaysia Airlines, Japan Airline, Cathay Pacific Airways, British Airways, Qatar Airways and Qantas.

 

Currently, Bangkok Airways covers ten scheduled domestic destinations: Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lampang, Sukhothai, Pattaya (U-Tapao), Trat, Phuket, Samui, Krabi and Udon Thani, and thirteen scheduled international routes: Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Luang Prabang, Vientiane, Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Maldives, Dhaka, Mumbai, Yangon, Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw.

 

Presently, Bangkok Airways' fleet consists of 26 aircrafts (eight ATR72s, eight A320s, and ten A319s).
