Germania Flug AG advances selected summer flights to March
In time for Easter 2016, Swiss airline Germania Flug AG is advancing from April and May to March its launch of summer season flights to Mallorca, Antalya and Larnaca. In addition, the route network will be expanded to include the Croatian port city of Split.
Glattbrugg, January 2016 – From this spring Germania passengers can fly from Switzerland to warmer holiday destinations earlier than originally planned by the carrier. Flights from Zurich to Antalya (Turkey), Larnaca (Cyprus) and Palma de Mallorca (Spain) had been scheduled from April and May. These have now been rescheduled to late March, in time for the Easter.
From 24 March Germania will operate two direct flights weekly from Zurich to Antalya. Two weekly direct flights to Larnaca have been advanced to 25 March. Flights to Palma de Mallorca will operate twice weekly between 24 March and 28 April – and daily from 29 April.
From 8 June the Swiss carrier will also add Split to its route network. Non-stop flights by Airbus A319 will operate from – and back to – Zurich every Wednesday. From 19 June to 30 October a Sunday flight will be added. This summer sees Germania Flug operating flights to a total of 11 destinations in nine countries
Split is a popular holiday and recreation resort on the Adriatic, and the largest city in South Croatia. The picturesque port city is located in the Dalmatia region and includes a historic old town quarter with winding narrow streets. The port, tourism industry and an expanding economy contribute to Split's importance as an economic hub. The city is also a popular point of departure for holidays on the islands of Brač and Hvar.
Flights from Zurich to Split are bookable immediately at a one-way fare of CHF 105. The price includes soft drinks and small snacks. Free baggage allowance is 20 kg. per passenger as well as one item of hand baggage.
