Germania and TAL Aviation join forces with the appointment of TAL Aviation as GSA in Spain
Berlin-based airline Germania and TAL Aviation join forces with the appointment of TAL Aviation as its General Sales Agent in Spain. The new representation strengthens further the cooperation between the companies which was initially formed in 2013 with the appointment of TAL Aviation as Germania’s General Sales Agent in Austria, Russia and the UK. The following year, Germania entrusted TAL Aviation as its GSA in Israel with the launch of new flights between Germany and Israel.
TAL Aviation’s Spanish team welcomes its new representation and is excited at the prospects and new opportunities it will bring to its market. According to the German Federal Statistical Office, Spain is one of the top 15 countries with overnight stays in accommodation in Germany over the past couple of years. At the same time, Ibiza, Palma de Mallorca and the Canary Islands which Germania serves are popular summer destinations for the German holiday-makers.
TAL Aviation Spain will be selling and marketing Germania’s seasonal services from Palma, Ibiza and the Canary Islands to several destinations in Germany such as Bremen, Frankfurt, Dusseldorf Berlin and others.
Germania in Brief
Germania is one of Germany‘s longest established airlines. Every year, for more than 30 years, millions of passengers board the carrier‘s distinctive green-and-white aircraft to fly on holiday, visit friends and family or travel to Europe‘s major cities. The airline‘s route network currently includes more than 140 international destinations in Europe, North Africa and West Asia. In total, Germania operates 22 aircraft. Since summer 2014, Germania has been a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). This milestone is a prerequisite for closer cooperation with many airlines. Additionally, IATA awards the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certification for the highest safety standards – an award Germania received in 2010.
At Germania, quality takes top priority. Drinks, snacks and friendly cabin staff are generally included in the ticket price.* A varied entertainment programme is available on all flights. In addition to audio programmes with the latest hits, classical music and jazz, passengers can – depending on the duration of the flight – also enjoy cartoons, TV series and feature films in HD quality. Unlike many rival carriers, passengers flying with Germania can check in one item of baggage up to 20 kg at no additional charge, and on longer flights, for instance to and from Iraq, Israel and Lebanon, the baggage allowance is even 25 kg.
*With the exception of some flights, which are being operated full charter for renowned tour operators (e.g. in summer 2015, all flights to/from Dresden as well as flights to/from Pristina and Skopje).
