Dear valued friends and colleagues,
Folowing our successful year end event in Bucharest, we are already seeing the results during the first two mounths of 2012, with new initiatives and increase in revenue.
Needless to say we are thrilled with the new representations that have been appointed to us recently, and we are putting in great efforts to ensure success in each territory.
According to the World Tourism Organization, worldwide tourism will reach the billion person mark in 2012, up from 980 million tourists worldwide in 2011, with 503 million coming from Europe alone. The expected 6% growth is the sign we have all been waiting for and we welcome this opportunity for growth!
Our annual meeting was held in December, at the luxurious JW Marriott in Bucharest, Romania and attended by our global sales team and our distinguished airline guests from American Airlines, CathayPacific, Qantas, Malev, Olympic Air, Jet Airways, Niki, Sri Lankan, Air Berlin and Qatar Airways.
I am proud to annouce that TAL Aviation Group is entering its 25th Anniversary Year and celebrations are planned, especially to thank our staff, loyal customers, and the airlines we serve.

New Appointments:
We are delighted to announce that we have reached an agreement with TAM for GSA representation in the territory of the Russian Federation.
TAL Aviation teams in Serbia/Montenegro and Ukraine are thrilled with the new GSA representation of Jet Airways in their respective territories, joining already existing representation of Jet Airways in TAL Aviation Turkey, Poland, Romania-Moldova, & Bulgaria.
Last issue mentioned the newest office of TAL Aviation Group in Nicosia, Cyprus. Note: this office is under the partnership of Kinisis Aviation, a part of Top Kinisis Travel PLC.
New Service:
We are very pleased to announce that Olympic Air in Israel will launch online service Athens to Tel Aviv, commencing 9 March 2012, starting with 3 x weekly service, increasing to 4 x weekly from April.
TAL Aviation has been awarded the GSA contract for Aer Lingus in Sweden. Online 4 x weekly service Dublin to Stockholm commences 25 March. The Stockholm team are happily planning activities to launch this new service.
Mr. Avishay Assaf has been appointed Manager of the FIT Dept. in TAL Aviation Israel. We wish him Best of Luck in this position!

IBCS/BSP:
We are pleased to announce new IBCS customers to TAL Aviation Group:
Air Dolomiti - Germany & Austria
Sri Lankan - Israel
Jet Airways - Serbia & Ukraine
TAL Aviation has formed a partnership with Pacific Air Agency Group for
the distribution of IATA IBCS/BSP in Korea.
The PAA group is a well known and veteran company in Korea dealing with Airline Representation, Hotel and Resorts. During a recent visit to Israel of Mr. M.J. Cha, President of Pacific Air Agency Group, an agreement between TAL Aviation Group and Pacific Air Agency Group was signed.
Joining IBCS creates the perfect opportunity for an airline to explore and earn revenue from markets currently untapped by a particular airline. Once in the IBCS program (at a cost considerably less than joining BSP), the airline can monitor its distribution and volume.

Sucessful Events:
Team Stockholm held seminars at travel agencies in Oslo, Norway. Participation was at 100% and American Airlines fares, summer schedule and updates were introduced.
Zygmunt Rozpedek, TAL Aviation Sales Manager for the Nordics, organized a seminar for travel agents to learn all the latest on American Airlines, while aboard cruise ship Birka Princess.
TAL Aviation Poland participated on behalf of Cathay Pacific in Life Style Expo fair in Warsaw organised by HKTDC in Poland. More than 200 exhibitors, about 4000 guest /companies interested in cooperation with China attended the event..

Trade Shows:
EMITT, Istanbul, Turkey 9-12 February
Our team in Turkey participated in travel fair EMITT under unusally snowy conditions. Dressed in native costume, the team distributed material for Jet Airways in the India booth.
ANTOR MICE - 26 January, Ritz Carlton Hotel.
The largest MICE event in Russia. TAL Moscow participated for American Airlines in the USA booth.
IMTM in Israel - February
TAL Aviation parrticapted with a booth highlighting American Airlines, Qantas, Cathay Pacific, Air Mauritius & with the participation of Senior Sales Manager of Bangkok Airways, Mr. Keerati Chantree of PG in Frankfurt.
We participated on behalf of Olympic Air, with a booth close to the Greece National Tourism Organisation, introducing the new direct service from Athens to Tel Aviv. In attendance from Olympic Air Head Office in Athens were Mr. Tassos Mais, Commercial Development Director, and Mr. Ioannis Papaslanis, Sales International Area Manager.

TAL Aviation Group Annual Conference
The annual TAL Aviation Sales Meeting was a huge success, with 35 Sales Exexutives & Management from TAL offices worldwide, along with 17 distinguished guests from the airlines we serve. The event was highlighted with an authentic Romanian dinner and an award ceremony at a local restaurant serving traditional Romanian cuisine.
