Air Europa bolsters business class on its long-haul fleet
Air Europa continues to make steady progress in the renovation of its long- haul fleet. In addition to the progressive incorporation, from now until 2022, of 24 Boeing 787
Dreamliners, it has reconfigured the business class on three of its Airbus 330-200 aircraft, which are already flying to Sao Paulo and New York.
This new business class, with which Globalia's airline division is offering maximum comfort to its passengers, is almost identical to the business class on the new Dreamliners, offering full reclining flat-bed seats for a completely horizontal bed, thus contributing to the passenger’s comfort and ensuring they are more rested upon arrival at their destination.
Furthermore, this reconfiguration has increased the business class capacity on three Airbus models from 18 to 24 seats. The shades used in their finishings, with prevailing white and grey tones, endows the cabin with a sense of greater brightness and comfort.
The seats, from the Equinox 3D line, not only allow for a flat bed position, but also have an adjustable headrest and folding armrests, an individual entertainment system, three reading light positions, and a power outlet for charging laptops, tablets and other devices, as well as a USB socket.
Two of these three Airbus 330 aircraft fly the Sao Paulo route, while the third flies to New York, although the latter will cease flying to JFK International Airport next December when the fourth Boeing 787 Dreamliner planned for this year is added to the long-haul fleet. At that time, according to the company’s plans, the Airbus 330 with the new business class will fly to the Uruguayan capital.
The airline’s commitment to consolidating its business class service also means increasing existing capacity. With this in mind, Air Europa is working towards offering 8 more business class seats on the new Boeing 787-9, which will be added to the fleet as of 2018, offering a total of 30 business class seats.
Finally, let's remember other major improvements this year for Club Business travellers, such as, for instance, the new ecological and healthy menus, prepared with foodstuffs with certificates of origin and quality, providing passengers with a more nutritional meal, as well as the PRIME rate, which allows passengers to fly in business class at better prices and with the best conditions, currently available for the destinations of Sao Paulo, Bogotá and Caracas.
