29 May, 2020

Air Serbia, the national airline of the Republic of Serbia, due to increased demand, will increase the number of flights on certain routes to which it is currently operating to until 14 June 2020. Thus, instead of the planned total of 16 flights to London (Heathrow), Vienna, Zurich and Frankfurt, until 14 June, Air Serbia will perform as many as 70 return flights. In addition, Air Serbia will also fly to New York, Amsterdam, Paris, as well as to regional destinations, such as Ljubljana, Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Podgorica and Tivat. There is a possibility of introducing additional flights if demand arises, which Air Serbia will inform its passengers in a timely manner.

The Serbian national airline continues to closely monitor the lifting or extension of travel restrictions at the destinations to which it flies, and will adjust its flight schedule in accordance with the changes. According to the latest state of affairs, when it comes to the region, flights to Podgorica and Tivat will recommence on 7 June, and flights to Skopje on 15 June.

"After the recommencement of flights on 21 May, our traffic is progressively increasing based on demand. We have and will continue to react quickly and adapt to changes in real-time. We all find ourselves in a challenging environment and the framework in which the airlines operate are constantly changing, but I am convinced that we will succeed and show why Air Serbia is a leader in the region," said Duncan Naysmith, Air Serbia CEO.

Air Serbia, in cooperation with health authorities and regulatory bodies, applied number of safety and hygiene measures in order to achieve safety and well-being of its passengers and crew members during the trip. On all flights of the Serbian national airline, it is obligatory to wear face masks during the entire duration of the flight, and the planes are regularly disinfected. Air Serbia has adjusted all procedures in passenger air traffic before, during and after the flight to the new circumstances, which were caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
