Air Serbia introduces additional flights to Tivat
During the month of August, owing to the great interest of travelers, Air Serbia will increase the flight frequency for flights between Belgrade and Tivat. The national carrier of the Republic of Serbia will serve the Montenegrin seaside from the Serbian capital up to 26 times weekly. In this manner, travelers will have almost two thousand additional seats available to them on Air Serbia's Airbus and ATR aircraft serving this route. It should be reiterated that the Serbian national carrier introduced direct non-stop flights between Niš and Tivat on 16 July. These flights will operate three times weekly until the beginning of winter season. All in all, this means that Air Serbia in August will operate 123 return flights to Tivat from its hubs in Belgrade and Niš. Thanks to the density of Air Serbia operation into Tivat, carrier offers one of the best and shortest connectivity from many European countries to Montenegrin seaside.
"We are fully committed to the development of air traffic with Montenegro, which is a very important market for Air Serbia. Tivat and Podgorica are our most frequent destinations by far, with 216 return flights to be operated in August alone. Both cities are well ahead of Zurich with 84 and London with 71 return flights. The increased flight frequency to Tivat comes as no surprise, taken into consideration that it is a popular tourist destination in close proximity to numerous other favorite vacation spots of our travelers. We are certain that this will make traveling easier for a great number of passengers flying for business or leisure, using our network of more than 60 destinations to reach the Montenegrin seaside via Belgrade", Air Serbia's CEO Duncan Naysmith stated at the occasion.
"For Airports of Montenegro, Air Serbia is a very important partner, taken into consideration that it carried 245 thousand travelers to and from our country last year alone. This year, the growth is even more evident, which makes us very happy. What we are especially ecstatic about is the introduction of the Niš-Tivat route, thus strengthening our cooperation further. Such passenger turnover speaks to the great interest in Montenegro as a tourist destination and contributes to our economic growth. We expect that Airports of Montenegro will serve 2.6 million passengers by the end of the year. Partners, such as Air Serbia, are important drivers of this growth in passengers served", CEO of the Airports of Montenegro Danilo Orlandić stated at the occasion.
Air Serbia, the national carrier of the Republic of Serbia, has successfully nurtured a fruitful partnership with Montenegrin airports for decades, which is evident from the number of travelers carried that is constantly increasing.
