During January 2022, Latvian airline airBaltic has carried 147 400 passengers – 232% more than during the same period last year. In January 2022, airBaltic performed 2 480 flights.

Martin Gauss, Chief Executive Officer of airBaltic: “With more than three times as many passengers than a year before, the results for January shows that we are on a path to recovery despite lower traffic figures than before the pandemic. We expect strong demand in the coming months with various countries lifting or easing the restrictions, but the situation remains fluid and we continue to closely monitor the development across our network.”

During January 2022, the 15-minute flight punctuality indicator for airBaltic reached a level of 81.9%. This means that more than 81 out of every 100 airBaltic flights departed at the planned time or with a delay of no more than 15 minutes.
