airBaltic receives Livonia Award

During a special ceremony Prime Minister of Estonia Kaja Kallas and Prime Minister of Latvia Krišjānis Kariņš presented airBaltic the Livonia Award. The Award is presented annually to the most successful Latvian company in Estonia as well as the most successful Estonian company in Latvia.

Martin Gauss, Chief Executive Officer of airBaltic: “We are honoured to be recognized by the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry as well as the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Over the last few years, we have grown to become the largest carrier in Tallinn Airport, maintaining our market share this summer. By providing direct flights to 15 destinations, we are proud to offer the best connectivity to and from Estonia."

"The last two years have reminded us all that cross-border cooperation with our neighbours and between businesses is extremely important as they help to keep our economies going. airBaltic has continued to provide essential connections to and from Estonia even in the most challenging times. Today the airline is the market leader in Estonia and in recent years has significantly expanded its operations at the Tallinn Airport, making us more connected," said Mait Palts. the Director-General of the Estonian Chamber of Commerce.

The Livonia Award was established on the initiative of Latvian companies doing business in Estonia and was presented for the first time in 2013 with the intention promote cooperation between the neighboring countries and implementation of joint projects.

airBaltic offers direct flights from Tallinn to Amsterdam, Berlin, Brussels, Copenhagen, London, Malaga, Munich, Nice, Oslo, Paris, Salzburg, Stockholm and Vilnius as well as connections via Riga.
