The Canary Islands airline Binter has prepared an audiovisual tutorial in Spanish sign language to provide deaf people with all the information regarding health measures to deal with COVID-19 on board, in addition to the protocols that the company applies on its flights to ensure the safety of passengers.
This video is available on an iPad, which will be provided by the crew and which will have previously been sanitized. In addition, the passenger will be able to view it, as many times as necessary, in the on-board entertainment service offered by Binter, by activating the airplane mode on their mobile device and connecting to the 'Binter-Onboard' Wi-Fi network.
The audiovisual piece, which details the security measures to take into account from the access to the plane until the end of the flight, is carried out by one of the airline's cabin crew. The video has been made at the initiative of this group, which has not wanted to give up closeness and fluidity in communication with passengers.
The action is part of the set of actions that Binter carries out to offer a quality service to its customers. With it, it is intended to guarantee communication under equal conditions, made difficult by the use of masks, as well as compliance with safety and hygiene measures by all passengers during the flight.
