Binter renews its commitment to UNICEF Spain for the ninth consecutive year
The Canarian airline Binter renews for the ninth consecutive year the collaboration agreement that it has maintained with UNICEF Spain since 2014 with the aim of supporting the rights of children throughout the world.
"Partnerships like this at times of greater global complexity fill us with satisfaction and show us that gestures of solidarity with the most vulnerable children can also be carried out from the private sector. Binter has also shown us trust and a sustained commitment over time and allows us to amplify and make the voice of children reach through its clients and employees, an opportunity that we greatly value”, said Rosa Gloria Suárez, president of UNICEF Canary Islands Committee.
“Binter staff is very involved in the collaboration that the airline has maintained with UNICEF for nine years; It is not just a matter of a contribution, but rather of disseminating the great work that this institution carries out for the benefit of children as widely as possible, both through the airline's external communication channels, its website or NT magazine, as well as internal communication tools”, highlighted the general coordinator of the airline, Santiago Guerra.
The airline makes a corporate contribution of 10,000 euros and invites its customers and employees to contribute equally to UNICEF's work to save, protect and empower children around the world. All these contributions are intended to improve the living conditions of the most vulnerable children in those countries where the organization works. The funds will be used to improve the conditions of the most vulnerable children, including those who are immersed in conflicts and humanitarian emergencies.
Binter thus invites its customers to make micro-donations through its digital platform at the time of booking. Contributions can be 1.80 euros, 6 euros or 9 euros, and can be made during the plane ticket purchase process. Donations can be made through the different sales channels of the airline and will go entirely to UNICEF.
In addition, BinterMás card holders will be able to exchange up to a maximum of 500 points per month for donations in favor of UNICEF.
This collaboration is part of Binter Social, Binter's commitment to a sustainable future with which the airline works to develop five key areas such as the environment, health, culture, education and sport, contributing with more than 60 projects aimed at to promote social, economic and environmental improvement, in the Canary Islands and in the rest of the areas in which the company operates.
