Cyprus Airways inaugural flight from Pafos to Athens
Cyprus Airways' inaugural flight from Pafos to Athens took place on Saturday 21 December 2019. Athens Airport welcomed Cyprus Airways aircraft with the ceremonial water salute. Branded sweets were offered at the gate to all passengers traveling on the inaugural flight to Pafos. Similarly, Pafos Airport welcomed the first Cyprus Airways direct flight from Athens with a traditional water arch salutation.
Cyprus Airways connects Pafos with Athens with 3 flights a week. In addition to the connection with Athens, Cyprus Airways will also connect Pafos with Tel Aviv in Summer 2020.
The company will also continue its flights from Larnaka to Athens, Thessaloniki, Tel Aviv, Beirut, and Heraklion for the winter season.
Natalia Popova, Chief Commercial Officer of Cyprus Airways stated that “We are very excited to launch flights from Pafos Airport, the second airport in Cyprus. We feel that it is our duty to respond to the local market’s needs and we continually monitor our route network towards this direction for improvements”.
