Interjet Airlines Reports Continued Growth in Traffic Results
Interjet Airlines announced January 2020 passenger traffic results today with the following highlights:
• Overall passenger traffic for January 2020 increased by 12.8 percent to over 1.3 million passengers when compared to
the same period in 2019.
• International traffic rose 14.7 percent year-over-year with over 3,315 flights internationally.
• Domestic traffic decreased a healthy 11.9 percent for the same period.
• International load factor increased 2.06 percent year-over-year to 84 percent.
• RPK’s (revenue passenger kilometers) grew 6.8 percent year-over-year.
• ASK’s (available seat kilometers) also increased by 6.9 percent for the same period.
“We continue to experience great demand for our service,” said Julio Gamero, Interjet’s Chief Commercial Officer. “We’re now operating more flights to more places and when combined with our competitive pricing, free checked bags on select fares, more legroom between seats and excellent on-board service we only see continued growth for our international and domestic business,” he added.
