Interjet Airlines reports Record International Traffic through July 2018
Interjet Airlines announced July and year-to-date passenger traffic results.
Interjet Airlines total passenger traffic increased to 7,979,518 passengers for the period January 2018 through July 2018, representing a 13.3% increase over the same period in 2017. International passenger traffic increased 39.5% to 2,095,813 passengers carried while domestic passenger counts increase 6.4 percent for the same period. Overall traffic for July increased 8 percent to 1,276,876 passengers carried.
“Following record June passenger counts, Interjet continued to deliver solid results for July, 2018,” said José Luis Garza, General Director of Interjet. ‘Our value proposition of offering business and leisure travelers everywhere we fly, our unique brand of lower prices with free checked bags on select fares, more legroom between seats and great service differentiates us from our peer competitors and is resonating with the market,” he added.
Recently, Interjet was honored with Skytrax’s World Airline Award as the ‘Best Low-Cost Airline in Mexico and 5th best overall in North America.
