Interjet enters a new phase with a renewed business plan
Interjet has entered a new phase with a renewed business plan and is firmly resolved to become the most important airline in Mexico, and strengthen the country's connectivity and tourism activity.
In this new era, Lic. Miguel Alemán Velasco remains as the Founding Chairman and Miguel Alemán Magnani as the Chairman of the Board of Directors that is carrying out the Company's restructuring plan, the details of which will be soon revealed.
The airline is thankful of the decision made by a group of investors, led by businessmen Carlos Cabal Peniche and Alejandro del Valle. They are helping the airline's capitalization through an investment fund of more than 150 million dollars, thus placing their trust in Mexico, in Interjet and in the Aleman Family.
The new operation plan targets the reincorporation, in the following days, of more Airbus 320 and 321 aircraft. This plan reiterates our commitment towards Mexico's air connectivity to provide the best service to all our passengers and contribute to the recovery of domestic tourism.
We are ready to strengthen the reestablishment and extension of routes and frequencies to domestic and international destinations as soon as travel restrictions in each country are lifted.
It is important to point out that we are the first Mexican airline to provide free rapid COVID-19 tests for our passengers. This action helps ensure their safety and protection while gaining back their trust in traveling. In doing so, we will become an international example of innovation for the airline industry.
Through a new business plan and doubling our efforts, we reassert our commitment to our country's economic development and, therefore, of all its people.
