Olympic Air and AEGEAN celebrate the inauguration of the new Paros airport with larger aircraft, more available seats and lower fares on 9.000 tickets
AEGEAN and Olympic Air assisted greatly in the completion and operation of the new airport, after the State financed the new runway and completed its construction (beginning of 2015), by financing both the construction of the first phase of the terminal and the infrastructure works for the new airport, having received the relevant approval by the Ministry of Infrastructure, Transport and Networks. With the companies’ backing, the terminal was financed and constructed within the first few months of 2016, supplementing the big investment made by the State and finally, allowing the inauguration of the new airport, increasing accessibility to Paros without wasting another tourist season. The estimated inauguration date of the new airport is on July 25th 2016.
At the same time, Olympic Air is upholding its commitment to support the development of the regional areas in Greece and to celebrate the inauguration of the new airport of Paros, presents its new initiatives for increasing the incoming tourism in one of the most popular destinations of the Greek islands. More specifically, after the inauguration of the new airport, Olympic Air will be able to operate with larger aircraft to Paros and can therefore offer more seats during August and September. At the same time, it announces the launch of a new route from Thessaloniki to Paros, starting on August 4th 2016.
Furthermore, Olympic Air will celebrate the inauguration of the island's new airport with a special summer offer of 9.000 seats, starting from € 39, for the Paros to Athens and Paros to Thessaloniki routes in July and August (valid for tickets booked from 12th to 20th July 2016).
