Record number of daily Air Serbia flights to Switzerland

image
7 October, 2020

For the first time in its history, Air Serbia will be operating up to four flights a day between Belgrade and Zurich on weekends. Due to major interest, two more weekly weekend flights were introduced, so the national airline will be operating a total of 21 flights a week on this route, which is more than in the same period last year. Together with the record-breaking four daily flights on Saturdays and Sundays, in October, there will also be three flights to Switzerland on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, and two flights a day on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

"The interest for flights to Zurich has exceeded all our expectations, which is very encouraging, having in mind the current circumstances and the consequences of the coronavirus on air traffic on the global level. We will continue to carefully monitor the development of events, react quickly, and adapt to changes in demand and travel restrictions," said Jiri Marek, General Manager, Commercial and Strategy, Air Serbia.

Air Serbia is currently operating the most flights from Serbia to Zurich, and it was one of the first destinations to which traffic was recommenced on 21 May, after the temporary shutdown. The flights to the biggest city in Switzerland, which last one hour and fifty minutes, are operated using A319 and A320 planes.
