TAL Aviation and Cobalt Air sign agreement to boost the airline's service between Russia and Cyprus
Cobalt Air, the largest airline from Cyprus now serving Moscow has entrusted TAL Aviation to act as its representative. As part of the new partnership, TAL Aviation Russia's team will be supporting its travel market with, amongst other services; sales, booking and ticketing facilities. At the same time, it will be assisting the airline in promoting this new product in the Russian market and increasing sales and revenues for the carrier.
Cobalt began serving the Russian market at the end of October with twice weekly flights from Moscow's Sheremetyevo's International Airport to Paphos, Cyprus. The new service inaugurated for the winter of 2018 is operated by Airbus 320 and offers direct flights between the two cities on Thursdays and Sundays.
The airline, which only in June 2016, introduced its maiden flight, between Larnaca and Athens, has seen rapid developments since then. Just last week it announced the launch of its new Business Class service on selected routes including Moscow. The service, to be rolled out over its route network during 2018, will offer large Business Class seats in a 2 by 2 configuration and an extensive dining menu which can be ordered at a time of the customer's choice. At the airport, its premium customers will be offered priority boarding with access to a Business Class lounge plus 2 x 20kg bags. The airline has also enjoyed rapid development through its global network. With the recent introduction of London Heathrow to its network, it became the only carrier offering flights to London's three main airports Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted.
Cobalt has already a number of awards and certificates under its belt. In October 2017 it was presented with IATA's IOSA Certificate for Airline Standards and also, CAPA – The Centre for Aviation's global "Start-Up of the Year Award 2017".
