TAP voted best airline at Marketeer Awards
The national airline was a success at the 10th Marketeer Awards, in 2018, in a ceremony held at Lisbon’s Convento do Beato. The magazine presented TAP with the “Best Airline” award for the work it has carried out in Portugal in the areas of Marketing, Advertising and Communications in 2017.
This put TAP in first place in the “Airlines” category, which was contested by five other international airlines. This award is very important to TAP, since it is voted for by the professionals of the sector, at a time when the company has committed itself to new ways of communicating with the client - ways that are simpler, more agile, and which comprise greater client proximity and engagement.
It should be recalled that last year TAP launched a number of products designed to improve its clients’ flight experience, such as Taste the Stars, which brought meals prepared by renowned Michelin-star chefs onto TAP flights. Last year was also the year in which the TAP wine list was overhauled, with the company engaging in a unique activity - the Wine Tour - which took national and international journalists on a trip round Portugal’s wine regions, showing then the best of Portugal in terms of wines, cuisine and the landscape of several Portuguese regions. Further enriching its clients’ travel experience, TAP has enhanced its role as Portugal’s ambassador throughout the world.
The nominees for Marketeer Awards were selected by the editorial team and the publication’s editorial committee, and were based on work carried out over the previous year. Online voting for this, the tenth edition of the Marketeer awards, closed on 30 April, at the same time that the magazine’s founding committee voted. The readers’ vote accounted for 50% of the result, with the publication’s founders committee accounting for the other 50%
Once again TAP stands out at the Marketeer Awards, having already won the “Best Airline” award in the area of Marketing, Advertising and Communications in 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017.
